On the Virginia Landmarks and National Register of Historic Places - Melrose, c. 1813, was extraordinarily restored by current owner and includes 9 over 9 windows, slate roof, heart pine flooring and original woodwork. a wing designed by Floyd Johnson was completed in 1978 and has recently been renovated. There is a former smokehouse currently equipped for a "Smithy", a metal barn and two-car detached garage with loft above. Of the 110 acres, about 25 acres are open, with the balance in woodland.
